TalkSprout Support
Start here. Most issues take a minute to fix.
Use these steps for notifications, purchase restoration, on-device prompt creation, and local data. Your family profile is not stored on a TalkSprout server.
Contact support
The owner must add a monitored support email or another valid contact method before TalkSprout is published. When contacting support, include your app version and iOS version, but do not send a child’s full name or other sensitive family information.
A scheduled question did not appear
- Open TalkSprout and confirm the child’s prompt schedule is enabled for today.
- Open iPhone Settings, choose Apps, TalkSprout, then Notifications. Turn on Allow Notifications.
- Review Focus settings and Scheduled Summary. Either can delay or silence a notification.
- In TalkSprout, open Settings and refresh the upcoming prompt schedule.
- After travel or a time-zone change, open TalkSprout once so upcoming local notifications can be reviewed.
iOS controls final delivery and presentation. TalkSprout schedules questions in advance, but it cannot promise exact delivery in every device state.
Restore TalkSprout Full Family
- Confirm the iPhone is signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase.
- Open TalkSprout, then open Settings.
- Choose Restore Purchases and wait for the result.
- If the purchase still does not appear, restart the app and check Apple’s purchase history.
TalkSprout never asks for your Apple Account password. Billing, purchase records, and refund requests are handled by Apple.
On-device prompt creation is unavailable
On-device prompt creation requires Full Family, a compatible iPhone, a supported iOS version, and Apple Intelligence availability for the device language and region. Availability can also change while the system model is downloading or when Apple Intelligence is disabled.
Nothing is wrong with the core app when this feature is unavailable. TalkSprout automatically uses its bundled, curated prompt library, which works offline and does not send child information to an external AI provider.
Delete or reset local data
If you want a copy first, use Export Local Data in TalkSprout Settings and save it to a destination you trust.
Open TalkSprout Settings and use the local data reset option. Review the confirmation carefully, because child profiles, preferences, prompt history, favorites, and local insights cannot be recovered by TalkSprout after deletion.
Deleting the app also removes its local app container from the iPhone. Device backups may retain a copy according to your Apple backup settings. App Store purchase records remain with Apple and may be restorable later.
Find the app version
Open TalkSprout, choose Settings, then scroll to the About section. The version and build number shown there help support identify the exact release. You can also find the version in iPhone Settings under General, iPhone Storage, TalkSprout.
The website intentionally does not show one fixed app version, so this support page does not become stale after an App Store update.
Quick answers
Can I use TalkSprout without notifications?
Yes. Open the Today screen whenever it fits your family. Notification permission is helpful, but it is not required to browse or use questions.
Does TalkSprout sync between devices?
Not in the initial release. Child profiles and prompt history stay on the iPhone where they were created.
Can TalkSprout recover a deleted child profile?
No. TalkSprout has no account or server copy of your profile. This protects privacy, but it also means TalkSprout support cannot recover deleted local data.
How do I change what appears on the Lock Screen?
Open TalkSprout Settings and turn off Show question in notification previews. TalkSprout removes its delivered notifications and schedules future prompts with generic text. iPhone Settings still control system preview visibility and notification permission.
