Privacy, in plain language

Your family data stays with your family.

TalkSprout is built to work without an account, advertising profile, or custom cloud database. This policy explains the limited data involved when you use the app and this website.

Effective August 2, 2026

The short version

  • Child profiles, preferences, prompt history, and local insights remain on your iPhone.
  • TalkSprout does not require an account and does not operate a custom backend.
  • The app does not contain advertising, external analytics, or cross-app tracking.
  • Optional prompt generation uses Apple technology on a compatible device, not an external AI service.
  • You can delete TalkSprout data from the app or by deleting the app.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the TalkSprout iPhone application and the public website at talksprout.app. TalkSprout is published by MN Booth LLC. The product is designed for parents and guardians, not for children to independently create accounts or submit information online.

2. Information in the TalkSprout app

TalkSprout is local-first. Information you choose to add is stored on your iPhone and is not sent to a TalkSprout server. Depending on the features you use, this local information may include:

TalkSprout does not ask for a child’s full legal name, exact birth date, school, address, medical information, contact details, location, microphone recordings, or photo library.

3. How local information is used

The app uses local information to select age-appropriate questions, keep the current daily question stable, avoid recent repetition, follow your category and topic preferences, plan local notifications, display favorites and recent activity, and remember a verified purchase entitlement. This processing takes place on your iPhone.

4. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, TalkSprout schedules local notifications through iOS. A notification may include the child nickname you provided and the full conversation question, so it can be useful without opening the app. You can change the schedule in TalkSprout. Turning off Show question in notification previews in the app removes delivered TalkSprout notifications and schedules future questions with generic text. iPhone Settings still control system preview visibility and notification permission.

5. Optional on-device prompt generation

On compatible devices, TalkSprout may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models technology to create or vary a conversation prompt. This is optional. TalkSprout does not send child profile information or prompt requests to an external AI provider.

If Apple Intelligence or the on-device model is unavailable, disabled, guarded, or unable to produce a suitable result, TalkSprout uses its bundled curated prompt library. Core features remain usable offline.

6. Purchases

Purchases are offered through Apple’s App Store and processed by Apple. TalkSprout uses StoreKit to request localized product information, begin a purchase, verify a transaction, restore purchases, and determine whether features are unlocked. MN Booth LLC does not receive your full payment card details from the app. Apple’s handling of App Store information is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

7. Website information

The TalkSprout website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It does not include an account system, contact form, advertising pixel, behavioral analytics script, or marketing tracker. TalkSprout does not set first-party marketing or analytics cookies on this site.

Like most hosting and network providers, Cloudflare may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals. Cloudflare processes this information under its own privacy commitments and the service configuration used by MN Booth LLC. TalkSprout does not use website requests to build child or family profiles.

8. Sharing and sale

TalkSprout does not sell child or family information. It does not share local child profiles, preferences, prompt history, or feedback with advertisers or data brokers. Limited providers involved in delivering the product include Apple for App Store and device services, and Cloudflare for static website hosting and network security.

If you choose Export Local Data in the app, TalkSprout creates a file on your iPhone and presents the iOS export flow. TalkSprout does not receive a copy. The destination you select may process the file under its own privacy practices, so review the destination before sharing family information.

9. Retention and deletion

App information remains on your iPhone until you remove it. Use TalkSprout’s reset controls to delete local app data, or delete the app from the iPhone. Your device backups may retain app data according to your Apple backup settings and Apple’s retention practices. Purchase records remain with Apple as required for App Store transactions and restoration.

The website does not provide a user account or customer database for TalkSprout to delete. Cloudflare may retain limited network and security records according to its service terms and configuration.

10. Security

Keeping family information on the device reduces the amount transmitted to outside systems. Your iPhone passcode, device security settings, notification preview settings, backups, and physical access to the device also affect privacy. No storage or transmission method can be promised as perfectly secure.

11. Children’s privacy

TalkSprout is directed to parents and guardians who use the app to support family conversations. Children do not create TalkSprout accounts or submit information to a TalkSprout server. Parents and guardians decide what nickname and preferences to store locally and should choose information appropriate for their family.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may change if TalkSprout’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way for the nature of the change.

13. Contact

Support and privacy contact: The owner must add the final monitored support email or other valid contact method before publication. Until then, see the Support page for product guidance.
